The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Your Second Season Predictions — With Some Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been intense.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of characters residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season moves, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people make a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on Prime Video on October 29.
